Set in the leafy gardens of the Domain, near Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance, the sculpture is in an ideal location to visit.
Getting to the Sculpture
Located to the North-East of the Shrine of Remembrance, the sculpture is located on the eastern side of Birdwood Avenue, between the Edith Cavell Memorial and the Malta George Cross Memorial. The site is located 1.3km from Flinders Street Railway Station and it can be reached by any St Kilda road south bound tram except Number 1 or by a 10 minute walk. Disembark at tram stop 18, 19 or Domain Road intersection. The Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle also stops at the Shrine and the Royal Botanic Gardens, disembark at Stop 13.
Visitor Parking
The sculpture is surrounded by roads and generally, it is fairly easy to find roadside parking nearby with 2, 3 and 4 hour parking available. The City of Melbourne operates ticket machines and enforces parking restrictions in the area. Coach and disabled parking bays are also available.
