Lance Corporal William Henry O’Bree was a labourer from Orange and served in the 14th Battalion, AIF. O’Bree was killed in action on 2 May 1915, aged 28 and buried at Courtney’s and Steel’s Post Cemetery, Gallipoli. Over a year later his father received a parcel with O’Bree’s wallet, two notebooks, a safety razor, two knives, badges and coins.
